A Sound Bath is a therapeutic experience where healing sounds and vibrations from instruments like gongs, singing bowls, drums and chimes wash over you, promoting relaxation and inner balance. Clients are usually lying relaxed on a mat, with a cosy blanket where they are able to 'bathe' in the vibrations of the sound. It's like a musical massage for your mind, body, and spirit, creating a harmonious space for stress relief and rejuvenation. The practitioner might walk around the room with the various instruments and pass them over your body; you might feel a bit more of the vibrations.

Absolutely! It's common to drift into a peaceful nap during a Sound Bath or 1:1 Session. Your body knows exactly what it needs. It doesn't effect the efficiency of your sound bath or session and there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Some people snore and I tend to let these sounds form part of the soundscape. People tend to wake up naturally with guidance from the percussion towards the end of the session or I will gently wake you after.

Some people experience remarkable responses to sound baths and 1:1 sessions, from experiencing vivid colours, intricate patterns, and revisiting memories to embarking on imaginative journeys to enchanting places. Each person's experience is unique, so embrace whatever sensations come your way! There is no right or wrong way!

Sound Healing is generally safe for most people. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as certain mental health disorders, may want to consult with their healthcare provider before receiving a session. Conditions such as healing broken bones, recent metal pins or surgery, dental pain, or ear infections can be sensitive and may cause increased discomfort. If you wear hearing aids we can test the sound to decide if you want to remove them or switch them off – some frequencies may cause hearing aids to buzz or whistle. If you have epilepsy, it's essential to consult with your GP to discuss the effects of a sound bath on brainwaves. If you do have any health conditions that you are unsure of, please discuss it with either of us before booking on.

There's no right or wrong reaction, and ample time is provided for adjustment and processing after the session. Rest assured, you'll be perfectly capable of driving or going about your day, and many find they enjoy a better night's sleep afterward.
